BOLITA SAM Lake City's Author and Florida Native born in 1951. Joe Bullard's most recent book signing. Bullard will be speaking Wednesday on North Florida Today about last night's turnout and the town's reaction so far to his findings. Bullard was featured on Coast to Coast with George Noory four times for his first book, Waiting for Agnes, which sold out on Amazon.com. He said he can tell "the Ruby McCollum story" now because most of the people are dead. BOLITA SAM This is a
very controversial book and is very sought after.

Waiting For Agnes
Waiting for Agnes, which sold out on Amazon.com. Bullard, who was born in Lake City, said an original hardback copy of Waiting for Agnes sold for $900. Coral Castle sits on Key West Highway in Homestead Florida. Coral Castle is one of the most amazing structures ever built. In terms of accomplishment, it's been compared to Stonehenge, ancient Greek temples, and even the great pyramids of Egypt. It is amazing -- some
even say miraculous -- because it was quarried, fashioned, transported, and
constructed by one man: Edward Leedskalnin, a 5-ft. tall, 100-lb. Latvian
immigrant." It
was built by a Latvian immigrant named Ed Leedskalnin. Claiming he fashioned
his tools from Mr. Kilgore's junkyard Ed cut and moved over 1100 tons of
massive, jagged coral stone. When asked how he did this, Ed said, "I know
the secret of the Great Pyramid. Joe Bullard - Author of "Waiting For Agnes" Joe Bullard followed by an interview with Joe on "Coast to Coast" radio.. Description provided
with the radio interview: Leedskalnin said he built Coral Castle for his lost love Agnes who jilted him back in Latvia, but Bullard suggested that this tale might have been a cleverly disguised cover story for hiding his secret knowledge and scientific achievements. When Leedskalnin was in a hospital in 1951, shortly before his death, thieves stole some of his tools. Bullard believes this might have been a planned confiscation. Leedskalnin left a message over his bedroom at the site: THE SECRET OF THE UNIVERSE IS 7129/6105195. One caller said that was the number from Leedskalnin's federal application for citizenship; another caller related the number to the "golden ratio." Bullard's book Waiting for Agnes, a fictionalized account of the Coral Castle story, incorporates the lore of Atlantis and the Bermuda Triangle into the plot. |
